Exhibition of paintings "Battle of the Waves"

How famous are you?
You drown out thoughts, even the beating of your heart.
How beautiful you are –
Wind-torn and torn.
How treacherous you are –
You are riding white horses and sailing the road.
But the waves calm down, the depths become clearer...
I know, the sea is already within me.

The most characteristic form of movement of the surface water of the seas and oceans is waves. The most important reason is the wind blowing over the water. Its gusts ripple the surface, causing ripples. When the wind blows without a break, the ripples grow into crested waves, which break in the deep sea or ocean (waves transform), and spray breaks off from them. This is how the waves crash (swell) occurs. When the wind dies down, the water surface is still limited and shallow long waves remain. Waves are also caused by the gravitational forces of the Moon. Tides occur (in the oceans). This is how the planet pulsates.
"It is the power and beauty of wave crests that fascinate artists of all fields, including me. Especially when you live near the sea, it is not surprising that it becomes a source of inspiration for creativity," says the author of the exhibition. After all, waves can be calm, gushing, standing, falling, flowing, splashing, gently undulating, stormily raging and wildly dangerous. All kinds. It is not surprising that the crash of waves perfectly reflects human feelings and internal states. In addition, water itself, in general, is one of the essential foundations of Creation. This idea is also supported by the opinion of Antoine de Saint-Exupery: "Water, it is an understatement to say that you are necessary for life - you yourself are life." After all, no matter how upset or confused a person is, basking in the calm flow of water calms down thoughts and feelings, because it absorbs what hurts. And vice versa - a stormy sea or ocean, each time raising wildly foaming waves, darkening the sky and blackening the sun, thereby reminding a person of their greatness, is a source of his changes, often teaches courage, endurance, enthusiasm, optimism, gives energy and confidence in one's own strength, tempers character, inspires creativity. It is a funny comparison that the effect of the sea and mountains is equally unique. However, the mountains are standing still, and every day in the sea is different. Just as a multitude of beautiful, interesting or strange life forms live in the water, so the human subconscious teems with various instincts, suppressed feelings, undiscovered abilities and powers. So it is not surprising - water affects us. It is multifaceted, changeable and in this way similar to ourselves.
"Clash of the Waves" is the sixth exhibition of paintings by Birutė Česnauskienė. This time - marine landscapes. The works were created using mixed media: acrylic painting on canvas, supplemented with the technique of acrylic pouring - "Pouring".
"Painting with acrylic paints on canvas is a magical way to convey what you see, feel, and imagine in various colors and shades... The play of light, light strokes, splashes, and painting experiments create a common whole of paintings, but at the same time, different moods and emotions," says the author.
